PRAXIS - ETS

About the exam:

The Praxis exams are a series of teacher certification exams written and administered by the Educational Testing Service (ETS). These exams assess general academic skills as well as specific subject areas needed for teaching. To find Missouri's requirements, please visit Missouri Requirements.   

Registration and Scheduling:

  • Create an account and register with ETS-Praxis
  • Schedule your appointment from your Praxis dashboard
  • You will be advised of seat availability when you select a test center

On test day:

  • Bring a valid governmental ID (driver's license or passport)
  • Locked storage is available on-site for personal items not allowed in the testing center

Scheduled breaks:

If your exam includes a scheduled break, candidates may only access food, drinks, and medication. If the allotted break time is exceeded, the scores may be cancelled. During breaks, candidates are not permitted to leave the test center building. They will be dismissed and their scores cancelled if they do so.

Requesting exam accommodations:

Candidates can request reasonable accommodations. Candidates must submit these requests to ETS Disability Services, and all requests must be approved before their test can be scheduled.
