ParaPathways Assessment
Paraprofessional educators generally assist teachers in the classroom, supervise students outside of the classroom, or provide administrative support for teaching.
About the Exam
The ParaPathways Assessment is for candidates who have fewer than 60 credit hours of course-work and want to work in Special Education or Title I schools in Missouri. The Paraprofessional test covers reading, writing, and mathematics.
The (ETS-Praxis) ParaPathways Assessment is a general aptitude test for prospective and practicing paraprofessionals that measures your:
- Skills and knowledge in reading, writing, and math
- Ability to apply those skills when assisting in classroom instruction

The ParaPathways Assessment is administered in English only. Your total appointment time is approximately 3 hours.
Cost
The ParaPathways Assessment and proctoring fee is $80.00. Fee is payable online and due at the time of the appointment.
Registration and Scheduling
To schedule an appointment, please register for the exam using the button below. Appointments are available weekly. You will receive an email confirmation of the appointment.
Test takers can retake the test once as soon as they would like. If more than one retake is necessary, the test taker must wait 21 days after their most recent attempt, and then, they can retake the test two more times. Continued retakes will follow the same pattern of a 21-day waiting period after two (2) attempts.
On Test Day
- Bring a valid governmental ID. Acceptable forms of identification include the following:
- Driver's license with photograph and signature
- Passport with photograph and signature
- Passport Card (must be accompanied by valid supplemental ID)
- State or Province ID card (including those issued by motor vehicle agencies)
- National identification with photograph and signature
- Military identification with photograph and signature
- Locked storage is available on-site for personal items now allowed in the testing center
