Step 1: Request your faculty notification letters in MinerAccess.
Student Accessibility staff will email your faculty notification letters to your instructors. You will be copied on these emails. Confirm with your instructors that they received your letters and whether they plan for you to take your exams in the Testing Center.
Once your faculty notification letters have been sent, you will be able to schedule your exams through MinerAccess.
Step 2: Sign into MinerAccess and Schedule Your Exams.
Please schedule your exams as much in advance as possible. This will hold a seat for you in the Testing Center and give Testing Center staff time to coordinate with your instructor to ensure the exam is approved and available for your appointment.
Please note: You are expected to take your exam at the same time as the rest of the class. The Testing Center cannot approve an alternative exam time without instructor approval.
If you have an extended time accommodation that would overlap another class or if the test time falls outside of Testing Center hours, please discuss starting the test earlier or taking it at an alternative time prior to scheduling your exam.
Step 3: Exam Request Approval.
When your exam is approved, you will receive email confirmation through MinerAccess. The status of your exam request can be checked through the Alternative Testing section in your MinerAccess account. If you have any questions about the status of your exam request, please contact the Testing Center at testctr@mst.edu or (573) 341-4222.
On the Day of Your Scheduled Exam (Subheading)
Arrive at the Testing Center on time. If you arrive late, the Testing Center will proceed according to the instructions provided by your instructor. All exams must be completed during Testing Center hours.
Bring photo identification to the Testing Center. A Missouri S&T ID, driver’s license, state ID, passport, or other ID with your name and photo on it are acceptable.
Only items allowed for your exam or accommodations can be brought into the testing room. Lockers are available to secure personal items.
Turn in the exam when time is up. Testing Center staff will place a timer where you can view your remaining time. When time is up, stop writing and return all test materials to Testing Center staff.
