Graduate Record Exam (GRE)

About the exam:

The GRE is a standardized computer based exam that is often used as an admissions requirement for graduate studies. The GRE aims to measure verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, analytical writing, and critical thinking skills that have been acquired.

Cost: 

The exam fee is $205 payable directly to GRE during registration. There are no additional costs for scheduling or proctoring fees at the testing center.

Registration and Scheduling:

  • Create an account and register with ETS-GRE General Test
  • Schedule your appointment from your GRE dashboard, with the exam vendor ETS. 
  • The GRE is available about once a month at our center. To see available dates at testing centers, visit GRE schedule.

On test day:

  • Bring a valid governmental ID (driver's license or passport)
    • Test takers testing outside their country of citizenship, must present a valid passport with their name, photograph and
      signature as their primary ID document.
  • Locked storage is available on-site for personal items now allowed in the testing center

Candidates can request for reasonable accommodations accommodations. Candidates must submit these requests to ETS and all requests must be approved before the exam appointment.

There is an optional 10-minute break after the third section of the test.

  • Test takers may remain in the testing room during the 10-minute break.
  • Candidates may access only beverages, food, or comfort items during the break.
