TOEFL - Test of English as a Foreign Language

Purpose – The ETS TOEFL iBT test measures your ability to use and understand English at the university level. And it evaluates how well you combine your listening, reading, speaking and writing skills to perform academic tasks.

The TOEFL has four sections:

Reading: measures the ability to understand academic reading material

Listening: measures the ability to understand spoken English as it is used incolleges and universities

Speaking – measures the ability to speak English in an academic context

Writing – measures the ability to write in a way that is appropriate for college anduniversity course work.

When : The TOEFL iBT Test will be administered on the following dates during 2018:

              Saturday, February 3                   Saturday, July 21

              Saturday, March 3                        Saturday, August 4

              Saturday, April 7                           Saturday, September 8

              Saturday, May 19                          Saturday, October 13

             Saturday, June 2                             Saturday, November 3

Test Format – The TOEFL iBT is an internet based test with four sections.

Cost – There is a fee of $190 that is paid when registering to take the TOEFL iBT
