DSST

Purpose – DSST is very similar to the CLEP program. Individuals who have gained knowledge outside of the regular classroom have the option to take a course specific DSST exam to earn college credit.  These exams are offered to be taken by military personnel, non-traditional students, and other community members. Missouri S&T does not accept DSST scores.

When – DSST exams are administered by appointment

Cost –  The DSST exam fee is $80.  This is to be paid by credit card only (Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Discover, and JCB) to www.getcollegecredit.com. Cash or check will NOT be accepted.  Missouri S&T also charges a $30 administration fee, which may be paid by check, money order or exact cash on the day of the exam.

Accommodations – Test centers and Prometric will provide reasonable testing accommodations set forth under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to allow test takers with documented disabilities to participate in taking DSST exams. If you have a disability and require special arrangements, please submit official documentation of the disability to the testing site. This will be forwarded to Prometric for review in determining the necessary arrangements to be given, which are at no additional cost. Prometric requires 30 days advance notice for all special accommodations.
